Well look no further! The all new Blacksmith Hooligan Menace Air Ride system is the best upgrade for the Suzuki VL800 Volusia, C50 or M50. So what make our system perform better than the competition? One word, a single one piece housing performance cylinder with more constant air control valving. Plus the new Hooligan Menace system give you 2inch of additional drop over our Phantom series air ride system.

The Metric V-Twin shock has two air cylinders in axial alignment, creating four chambers. The two chambers which create lift are connected through an internal passage inside the rod. Dual lift chambers greatly reduces the air pressure required to lift the bike, creating a more comfortable ride. The other two chambers are ported independently, one vented, and the other is used for rebound control. Rebound is set by air pressure in the rebound chamber. The diameter of the package is slightly smaller than a stock shock. Therefore, we can apply this shock to any mono-shock suspension.

We have learned from testing other systems that once the cylinder is pressurized with air, the cylinder is more of a support than a shock. This will cause a semi-comfort ride with a partial pressurized system and harsh ride if it exceed this "sweet spot" pressurized level. The problem you ask? You can regulator what the correct pressurized level is for that "Sweet Spot" riding comfort. So we looked into providing a cylinder that has an unique way of recirculating the pressurized air as the rider engages different road surfaces, without the needing to find a sweet spot. This allow the cylinder to need less air(which gives you a lower stance), react to road imperfection as a OEM shock (absorb the impact), remove the harsh stiff ride known in other air ride systems.

We also added a premium compressor and two regulator valves to insure constant regulation of the pressure in the system. As with all our systems you can upgrade to our 2 button remote control, front air ride, and our Phantom 1 sec up package.
