Blacksmith Motoring Compnay is know for building some of the fastest Star Motorcycle XV1900 series in the world. With performance packages ranging from Big bore kits, nitorus oxide to Turbocharging. All the power in the world is worthless unless you can get the torque to the pavement. Blacksmith Motoring high performance divison devoted 4 years to perfecting a clutch combination able to handle the power.
The XV1900 series which includes the Roadliner, Stratoliner, and Raider are well-designed performance machines be they do suffer a shortcomings in the engineering department of the stock bike clutch system. The stock diaphragm-spring clutch is not designed to handle the performance upgrades available through Blacksmith genuine high performance parts and accessories. Once the horsepower and torque numbers exceed stock, the factory clutch starts to slip, and be easily overpowered, especially with repeated hard launches. Fortunately, our development department has machined modified a Barnett spring conversion plate which swaps out the diaphragm spring clutch for six coil springs in conjuntion with our specialized spring weights and kevlar performance clutch plates. This total conversion adds a significant amount of clutch performance to your XV1900 upgraded drive-train.
This Stage 2 Kit handles Torque from 130lb to 155lb and includes:
-Modified Barnett spring conversion plate
-Blacksmith Stage 2 HD spring set
-Blacksmith HD Kevlar/Steel clutch plate set
